Wisdom of Saint Francis de Sales

Saint Francis de Sales calls the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, "the centre of the Christian religion, the heart of devotion, the soul of piety."

This quote is taken from a book of meditations for priests and seminarians from 1954. Pay attention to how this paragraph finishes:

It is the main source of the Catholic Church's holiness and vitality. No wonder that Satan should inspire her enemies with hatred of the Mass: they know that when they strike at the Mass, they strike at the very heart of the Church!
