Wisdom of Saint Francis de Sales

"We must make our imperfections die with us from day to day. Ah, dear imperfections!, which cause us to recognize our misery, which exercise us in the contempt of self and the practice of virtue, in patience and diligence. Let us practise certain little virtues proper to our insignificance, meekness, patience with our neighbour and with our own imperfection, usefulness, humility, the mildness born of courage, affability, and other small virtues. Let us have a firm and generous will to serve God with all our hearts and all our lives; outside that, let us have no care for the morrow. Let us think only of doing well what God demands of us today."

--Saint Francis de Sales, LS 1905.
